Any Twilight fanatics out there? I’m definitely one (yes, I admit it!), so I was THRILLED to see this article from InStyle. The magazine asked top designers to sketch their ideas of Bella’s dress (4th book). Check out what some of them came up with – love ‘em!

Even if the color red is not a part of your wedding scheme, you’ve got to love these pictures.
The red was so elegantly blended in this celebration, that everything looks spectacular.
How simply and creative the flowers were arranged at the isle for the ceremony…
Very original details for great inspirations. I just can’t get over the cake table with the submerged flowers.

It has been raining much to much these days, at least where I live, so I’ve had to make use of the rain boots. While they aren’t particularly my favorite accessory, they sure are useful. So, today I wanted to share with you some rain boot inspiration…with a wedding twist, of course!
Is your big day expecting rain? Plan ahead. Rain or shine, boots and umbrellas can make for some super cute photo opportunities. Check out the image below from Kerry Morgan.
Need a white pair to match your light colored, wedding day ensemble? Check out these fabulous Original Hunter Wellington Rain Boots.
Need something a bit more colorful for the ‘maids? How about the same brand in a different color? Love these, which can be found at Piperlime.
Or perhaps you’re looking for something a bit more…branded? I’d take either of these – Burberry or Coach.

What is it with me and awkward photos? Maybe it’s because sometimes a single image will make me laugh so hard that I cry. Or, the thought of me being in one of those pictures makes me turn bright red. One way or another, I found these great, awesomely bad engagement photos on Guidespot.
If you’re about to have an e-session, don’t let your photog capture any images like these. They might just end up in a post like this (yikes)!
Check out a few of my favorites…

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year. I adore the crisp mornings and cool evenings, the color changing leaves, and of course, the fabulous fall fashions! Another plus to chilly autumn days? Delicious warm drinks.
Even if you’re not going with the stereotypical burnt oranges and yellows and chocolate browns for your fall wedding, these yummy beverages would be a treat for any guest. Set up a station and serve a signature drink, or serve them all at their own special bar. Check out below for some that sound particularly amazing.

Not too many instructions here. Buy a few packs and let guests chose whichever flavor they’d like to steep. Harney & Sons is my fave – adore the Passion Plum!

Headbands are “hot” – in mainstream fashion and in bridal. For brides going without a veil, they can add the perfect little something, taking their do’s from everyday to wedding day. Sporting a veil for the ceremony? Remove it after the “I Dos” and live it up at the reception with another hair accessory, like these fabulous selections from BAMBAKO, created by designer Abigail Ricarte.
Check out BAMBAKO to see all of the designs and to shop for your favorite. This one is my fave – oh so preppy!

According to a Scottish writer who died 250 years ago, “Nothing is certain in London but expense”. Not much has changed in the intervening years, but it’s possible with a bit of homework to have a honeymoon in London which is not only romantic, but doesn’t break the bank. Here’s a few tips for great places to visit which are good for couples, but won’t cost the earth.
1. Flower Market. You would expect the New Covent Garden Flower market to be in Covent Garden, but this being London, it is of course on the other side of the city in Vauxhall. This is where London’s florists buy their flowers. It opens in the middle of the night and closes at 11am. There is a huge selection and the scent is incredible. Flowers they are sold at wholesale prices, so guys, if you want to buy your new wife so many red roses she can’t count them, this is the place.
2. The Postman’s Park. If you’ve seen the film Closer, then you’ve seen the Postman’s Park. Just north of St Paul’s Cathedral, this hidden gem of London is a tiny park which houses the Memorial to Heroic Self Sacrifice. This was established by George Watts, in 1900 as a tribute to ordinary people who had died whilst saving the lives of others. A long wall is covered in decorative ceramic tablets which tell the often fascinating tales of those who are commemorated there. In the film, Jude Law takes Natalie Portman to the park and their characters fall in love. Maybe it just has that effect on people. Anyhow, it’s worth a look.
3. Karaoke. Yes, you read that correctly. It’s late at night, you’ve had a few drinks, a great dinner, and you’re heading back to the hotel. For the husband or wife who wants to surprise their other half with a romantic gesture, what could be better than stopping off for a nightcap at Lucky Voice Karaoke in Soho, a karaoke bar with “A list” clientele, but “B list” prices. Book a private booth, order a Kimono cocktail (highly recommended) and call up your first dance song. Ahhh…
4. Primrose Hill. Of course, the one thing in London that’s guaranteed other than expense is the occasional bit of bad weather. But there’ll be a sunny day on any honeymoon, and there’s no better place to spend it that at the top of Primrose Hill. This park is often overlooked in favour of Regent’s Park just to the south, but Regent’s Park can’t offer you a panoramic view of London that has inspired artists in the capital for centuries.
5. Vertigo. Not a symptom of visiting Primrose Hill, but a bar, located right at the top of one of London’s tallest buildings. Tower 42 (so named because it has 42 stories) is not going to win height contests in Manhattan, but standing in the centre of London’s financial district it has 360 degree views of the city. You’ll need to book in advance, but getting up here only costs you the price of a couple of drinks, and you can watch the sun set over the city.

Hello my dears! I am thrilled to tell you about the phone conference I got to sit in on with David Tutera and WE TV a couple weeks ago. See below for the advice and words of wisdom that Tutera had for all of us wedding bloggers.
How do you bring guests into the celebration? Create an interactive experience for guests – have them become part of the event. It’s all about creating an experience.
What are some good tips for brides on a budget? It’s important to not get overwhelmed with budget issues – pay attention to the details. Details don’t cost money (but they do cost time). Another tip: Pick one color and use it in abundance, and use cheap things that can aid in creating that “wow factor”, like water and candles.
What are popular colors for weddings these days? In the next few years, we’ll be seeing warmer tones – bronzes and coppers. Purple is popular now, as is the whole style of “vintage clam”.
Tell us your thoughts on the Do It Yourself Wedding movement. For wedding planners – draw your line in the sand. It’s great that brides want to get crafty and do things themselves, but the wedding planner or coordinator doesn’t need to be finishing projects for the bride.
Of all the great books you’ve written, which is your favorite and why? The Party Planner because it’s the most helpful for any reader who wants to recreate the ideas shared in the book.
Good tips, as always. Check out this little video about David’s new (and first) fashion line:

Don’t forget to watch David’s new season of
My Fair Wedding too, on WE TV, Sundays at 10/9pm central. He works wonders for his couples!
