Scarlet Leave a Comment

When you’re planning your dream wedding and want it to look classic, there are a number of ideas to incorporate for a beautiful setting that is truly unforgettable. Many brides decide to follow a vintage theme that is delicate and lovely. To use a few vintage wedding ideas, there are several ways to enhance the quality of your event and allow it to look romantic.

Use Antique Handkerchiefs for Favors

Stamp or embroider antique handkerchiefs with your initials for a great way to give a personalized gift that will allow guests to remember the wedding or to use as wedding invitations. The cloth item can also include the wedding date for a beautiful item to hand out to thank your family members and friends for attending your special day. Each handkerchief can also be made unique to ensure that your guests can take home a one of a kind item that are is original in its design.

Place Tea Candles in Mason Jars

An easy and affordable way to decorate your table and create stunning centerpieces is to purchase mason jars in bulk and place small tea candles inside. This will create a beautiful glow on each table during the reception for a romantic touch that is truly vintage. Add a little extra touch by filling about half of the jar with pebbles, sand seashells or even corn. The mason jars can also be used to hold bouquets of flowers and as cups for the drinks.

Add Antique Keys to the Seating Chart

Make it easy for guests to find where they’re seated during the reception by tying an antique key to each person’s name and the table number of where you’ve designated for them to sit. The keys can be beautifully displayed on framed chicken wire and attached with clothespins for a rustic and vintage style that will stand out at the event. The antique key can also be taken home as a favor for each guest. To add a little extra touch, you can rent rustic furniture from companies such as Forever Vintage or if you are in Australia, you can place special requests through rental portals such as Hiresquare who are happy to help you with getting everything arranged.

Use an Old Mailbox for Gift Envelopes

As the bride and groom, you’ll need to set up a table where guests can leave their gifts during the ceremony. Many times, envelopes can get lost in the shuffle when they’re placed on a table and are left out. Use an antique mailbox on the gift table where cards can be placed for an easy way of keeping everything safe. The mailbox will also add to the vintage style of the wedding and will be an eye-catching detail that guests will notice.
