Whether you’re the soon-to-be bride or the maid of honor, it’s important to have necessary items packed and ready to go for the big day. After the ceremony, during the reception, you don’t want to find yourself wishing you’d remembered this or that. Here are some of the essential items you should bring to the reception.
While the beautiful high heels are perfect for the ceremony, you may not want to wear them for hours of dancing, unless you want your feet to hate you for days. Bring more comfortable shoes for the bridesmaids and bride. Think fancy flip flops or other comfortable shoes.
The bride may have spent weeks choosing her wedding dress, but no doubt she’ll be ready to get out of that thing after the ceremony is over. It’s perfectly acceptable for the bride to choose a pretty dress that she can wear after the ceremony, but ensure that it’s comfortable enough to last through the reception. Make sure you’ve gotten the wedding photos first, though!
Makeup for Touch-Ups
A small bag with makeup for touch-ups is a great idea. The wedding photographer will still be making his or her rounds, so after eating or dancing, you may want to sneak off to the powder room and touch up your lipstick or powder.
By making sure you have everything you need to be comfortable during the reception, you can ensure that you’ll actually enjoy it rather than wishing you’d remembered certain items. Make a list of the things you think you’ll need and pack them!
