Saying I Do to Fun and Love

Good morning, loves! It’s a wonderful Thursday morning and I am giddy about today’s set!  Abby and Sam’s big day was loaded with truly unique vintage details. They got old wedding photos of their relatives, place settings of mismatched vintage china, antique wooden skis that everyone signed and a spectacular 1966 red Volvo 122s with beer cans tied to the bumper that the couple arrived at their backyard reception to name a few. We are crazy over how they used their own backyard as the venue and they knew how great the set up could be. Cat Cutillo Photography & Video was able to capture great moments of their special day, and we have them for you to enjoy.

The Venue

The home was stunning with a big red barn, amazing gardens and an endless green lawn to envelope their tented backyard reception.  There was an enormous bonfire for late-night festivities and fireworks.

Abby’s mom and bridesmaid created the floral designs and the ceremony was performed by Sam’s elementary school principal and family friend.

Lawn games, sangria and beer from the beer truck created such a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

From the Photographer

My roots are in editorial photojournalism and above everything I am a visual storyteller looking for the story. I am both a romantic and a nostalgic–kind of a magic bullet for a wedding photojournalist. I love color and using it to tell your story.

I’ll find the offbeat, overjoyed, sweet moments of your day that belongs only to you.Through your handcrafted details, your color palette, the landscape, the lighting–through all of the little chance moments — I create a visual time capsule that you can keep.
