Welcome to 2009! Sorry for the recent hiatus - I’ve been on vacation (and it was fabulous, I must say!). But, I’m excited to start off the new year with this AMAZING giveaway from Hilton Hotels. Let me share with you the details.

Hilton Hotels are compensating up to $3,000 (yes, that is three thousand dollars) in hotel rooms when our winner reserves a block of rooms using their new online reservation system, Hilton Family e-Events.

Hilton Family e-Events is more than just online booking! Wedding checklists can be found on the site, along with the ability to reserve hotel event spaces and additional guest rooms, manage your out-of-town hotel guest list, and even design a personal page for guest reservations!

How does it work, exactly? You enter by leaving a comment on this post (if you found out about this giveaway from another blog, be sure to include where to heard about it). If you are chosen as the winner, we’ll send you the info you need to know to get started. You’ll register your block of rooms online using Hilton Family e-Events, receiving a code, which will validate the transaction so the Hilton people can compensate the rooms! Simple enough, right? (And just to note, participating hotels include Hilton, Conrad, Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hampton Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Grand Vacations, and Homewood Suites by Hilton, only in the US. The giveaway does not include event spaces, room service, etc. - just the rooms!) Check out Hilton Family e-Events to see what it looks like!

So! Do a little research on the hotels in the area of your wedding and reception. Think about all the people you could give rooms to – parents, grandparents, wedding party members, other family members and out of town guests! And all for free. A nice way to say thanks, I’d say.

We will be running the giveaway for two weeks, so be sure to enter before then! We’ll announce the winner (who will be chosen at random) at the end of the two weeks!

    What an amazing offer from Hilton! I hadn’t heard of e-Events but definitely will be using it as there are several hotels in the Cocoa Beach, Florida area that would be great for my guests. Would love to offer it to them free!

    My fiance and I are trying to plan our fall wedding on a really tight budget! The most important things to us are our FAMILY and FRIENDS being there, and then having good photos of the day. Unfortunately, the more we plan, the more it seems there’s going to be less and less money for the honeymoon! We’ve never been able to take a big trip together, and having a possibility like this would DEFINITELY help us do that!!

    I am a huge Hilton Garden Inn fan. There is a great location in Westbury so close to many reception halls and the lobby is stunning! Is is not loacted far from my reception hall and would be just perfect for us and our guests!

    I found out about this give-away via Snippet & Ink, where I have been a lurker/inspiration seeker for the past half year. We are keeping the idea of our 2 families joining and uniting as a priority, but one of our top concerns is that family from out of town, even out of the country (Panama and Australia) will be unable to attend because of all the travel expenses incurred. So, they would be unable to meet members of my fiance’s family. This giveaway would give our money-strapped families (whose family is not tightening their belts at this time?) one more incentive to come out and join the celebration. I’ve been using the sales rep at the hotel for our room block but it may be easier to use e-vents. All of my family lives out of state as does most of my bridesmaids so they all need hotels for several nights and I live in Chicago…not the cheapest hotels by any means. This is an awesome giveaway!

    What a great promotion! I use Hilton for work quite often. I have enjoyed every stay! Most of my family is traveling for the wedding. What a blessing to them if I won this!!!
