Rock The Dress Styled Shoot in the Ocean

Car Leave a Comment

Kerry and Jimmy’s wedding was anything but ordinary. There’s a lot to be inspired by, and a major part of that was their rock the dress shoot on the beach. In fact, many of the photos were taken right in the ocean! While the waves were hitting them, bits of seaweed got stuck in Kerry’s dress while the sun was setting on the horizon. All of these elements looked really artistic as nature and glamour merged into one. The moment Kim Chapman Photography sent these photos over, I instantly pinned them to my wedding inspo board. See the stunning photos for yourself!

Take this Advice

If you are okay with the idea of your wedding dress no longer being in pristine condition afterward, then a Rock the Dress shoot may be a good idea for you! Luckily, salt water and sand does not do too much damage. Either way, I knew that I would treasure looking at photographs of that day much more often than I would look at my wedding dress itself after the wedding was over. (Plus, I knew that most brides only wear their wedding dress that once anyways.) In short, any potential dress damage: worth it. If you choose to do a Rock the Dress shoot, just remember that the official wedding photos were already taken on the wedding day. So, for this shoot, just let loose, have fun, and do whatever your photographer suggests so you can get some beautiful outside-the-box shots which both of you will treasure forever. ~Kerry Reynolds/Bride
