The gardens are housed in 110 acre spruce and birch woodland, where an array of perennials grow from May through September (and sometimes through October).
Colorful yet rustic, the beautiful blend of natural elements at the Alaska Botanical Garden is a picturesque place to be married. Offering five sites, Alaska Botanical Garden includes two perennial gardens, an herb garden enclosed by a trellis fence, a simple clearing next to the rock garden, and a nook next to a large glacial erratic boulder.

A gathering place for wishing to learn about the native cultures of Alaska, the Alaska Native Heritage Center is a great place to gather information. The center is also, however, a great place to hold an event. Able to hold up to 700 guests, the Heritage Center has a theater, outdoor deck able to hold up to 80 guests, and a space called “The Gathering Place†which can accommodate up to 180 guests. And for something uniquely Alaskan, the Heritage Center can arrange for entertainment by Alaska Native artists and performers, Athabascan fiddlers, storytellers and personal tour guides.

For the contemporary or Alaska-loving couple, the Anchorage Museum is the perfect place to party post-wedding. The calming reflecting pools and grand marble staircase in the atrium add unique, but not overwhelming character to the space. Also available to rent along with the atrium are three galleries and an heated underground parking garages for space enough for 100 vehicles.
