I love lists. I often write them on the fly between tasks. Thus, I love notepads. So, I was THRILLED when I heard about Linda & Harriett’s new, fabulous notepads! I get little updates from Linda & Harriett all the time about their goodies, so it’s about time I share some of it with you!

The recently released notepads are absolutely fantastic. I got one of the Zig Zags, and it is ni-ce. It’s much bigger than I thought – perfect for lots of notes!

But, notepads aren’t Linda & Harriett’s only cup of tea! They have quite the collection note cards and flats, perfect for “thank yous” or “thinking of yous”, and a whole line of sweet greeting cards. They are all about custom work for invitations, stationary, and wedding paper ensembles, too. Check out some of the pieces you can find!

Think you need an expensive design program to design beautiful invitations? Not true! The new Office Mac 2008 is only $113 and is the most souped of version I’ve seen yet! There are so many layout options it blows my mind.

I have a graphic design background, and when it came to my wedding invitations I had to design them on Photoshop and Illustrator. As much as I love them, they cost and arm and a leg and are not practical for the everyday users. Microsoft Office 2008 allows you to not only assemble things like save-the-dates, wedding invitations, and place cards with their new layout feature, but you can make wedding budget trackers. And it’s easy to use! None of this vector confusion. And, if your super ambitious, you can do a PowerPoint love story with photos and music you can project from your laptop at your reception… wouldn’t your guest love that!

For tips on using Microsoft Office Suite 2008, go to www.artofoffice.com.

You know the drill – the economy isn’t the greatest, people are pinching their pennies even more. This is true when it comes to weddings, too (as you probably very well know). But, just because this is the case, it doesn’t have to mean skimping on your big day. Here are a few tips to help you save without the “skimp”.

Find sites that specialize in cheap wedding invitations. Just because they claim to be “cheap” doesn’t mean they aren’t nice! There are tons of sites out there that offer great deals on the entire paper ensemble. Just google them!

Forgo the unnecessary frills. Not all invitations or thank you notes need to be covered in rhinestones, ribbons, and bows. Sometimes less truly is more (this is especially true for you brides and grooms that have modern or minimalist tastes). Usually, invites that are a bit less “pimped out” have a much prettier price tag.

DIY! So many brides we know and have had the opportunity to meet are totally crafty and have been able to create some pretty fabulous things. If you’re one of these creative and talented individuals, explore your options and test a few of your ideas out. Be creative – look at the tools and supplies you already have and think of a way to save even more by using them. A perk to this idea? Whatever you make will be completely unique!

Smaller can be better. Just like packages, the smaller your mailers, the smaller the postal tab. And, before you run out and buy sheets of stamps, pay a visit to your closest post office and weigh an invitation (envelopes and all). They may require less (or more) postage than you expect!

What are you doing to cut back on your paper expenses? Getting creative and crafty?

Today is Square Root Day!
Square Root Day is a rare day that occurs when the day and the month are both the square root of the last two digits of the current year.
In another words: March 3, 2009 : 3/3/09, can be expressed mathematically as:
?9 = 3 or 3² = 3 × 3 = 9.
To ilustrate, unique table number cards representing the square root of the day.

Every bride has her own special way to invite her bridesmaids.

We always think of something nice for our girls. A special card, a special message, a special gift…whatever will make them feel special for being part of our big day and plannings.

How about the groomsman? Why not send something special for them as well? After all, they will also be part of your wedding party.

Today, I’ve found out two very interesting things for these guys.
The first finding that I would like to share with all of you, are these really cute cards that your fiancee (or yourself) can send them to make an “official invitation”.

Also, If you want to make sure they know what their responsiblities really are, you might want to send attached to the “groomsman invitation” this website, which was my second finding of the day: The Groom’s Guide.
This site explains what it takes to be a best man or a groomsman.
Fun !

Have you thought of doing something different for your escort-card table?
You can turn a traditional table into a must see attraction at your reception.
Different shapes, a mix of looks and colors, or uncommon presentation… be creative and give your guests something to talk about.
Here are some ideas:

You should remember your honeymoon for the rest of your life. There are millions of places the two of you can go, but how do you decide?

Most importantly you should choose a location where the two of you can focus on eachother, be busy with eachother and really enjoy eachother. Choose a beautiful location! Beaches are very popular locations and there are many beautiful beach destinations. And hey! Its a great excuse to wear less clothing :)

Our destination was Santorini Island, Greece . I have to say, it was the most beautiful place I have ever been to! Absolutely breathtaking all the time. It’s a small little charming and unique island in the Greek Caldera. It is known to have the best sunsets in the world! We stayed at a hotel called Oia Mare Villas. Great accommodation! Pictured below is a photo from our honeymoon.

The two of you have to choose together where you want to go and then have some unforgettable fun!

Hmmm….I can’t seem to figure out how to post a photo? Can someone help me?
