Any cream puff lovers out there? I’m a fan. In fact, I had some today after lunch. So, I thought I’d share with you something fabulously related. Behold, the croquembouche!

This French cake is quite unique if you’ve been looking at those traditional white wedding towers all day long. Profiteroles filled with pastry cream (a la “Cream Puff”) stacked together and held in place by drizzled caramel. What could possibly be more delicious?

Movie Review : Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding

Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding. The show that’s been a hit for years has been turned into a movie that, if you need a few good wedding-related laughs or want to be scared out of marrying into an Italian family, you should definitely check out. I’ve never seen the show live, which I have heard is hilarious, but the movie staring Joey McIntyre and Mila Kunis is quite the spectacle.

Tony and Tina are just two young individuals that want to tie the knot, but their families always unintentionally find a way of getting IN the way. The mixing of the two clans is quite the site to behold - and I believe if I were either Tony or Tina, I’d just want to pull out all of my hair by the end of the day. But, even after the crazy day, insane families, and lots of madness and mayhem, Tony and Tina get what they really want.
In my honest opinion, the movie was at least somewhat interesting. I wouldn’t put it at the top of my favorite wedding movies list and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to couples that are going through a rocky wedding planning patch (I seriously think my blood pressure rose just watching it). But, for those love birds out there that have just gotten engaged, maybe you should check it out and take notes on the things you might want to avoid. And if you have recently gotten hitched, you would probably appreciate the satirical wedding day craziness - more so if you readily admit that you wedding day was indeed an “insane” one.
Thanks Emerging Pictures for the flick!

The Perfect Polish

I love nail polish! I have since I was …. well, for as long as I can remember. My grandma used to pull out her huge bucket of polish and do my digits when I would come over, and thus begun my love (turned obsession in middle school) of pretty colors on my nails!
Most of brides these days pay attention to the color on their nails when it comes to the walk down the aisle. I’m still loving the neutral, natural, nude shades, but I’m quickly falling for the darker tones as autumn quickly approaches. Here are a few of my faves from the OPI collections.

I love this sugary cereal, but that’s not what this post is about. It’s about wedding charms!

From WWWearables
There are a few cute things you can do with these little guys. Turn them into wine glass markers, a charm bracelet, dangle them from your bouquet, or hide them in your bridal shower cake for a fun game of lucky charms.
Check out Wedding Cake Charms for more info about what each charm means. Fun stuff!

Kids

To have kids at your wedding and reception or not to have kids at your wedding reception? It can be a hard question to answer if you have a lot of kids in the family, have lots of friends that have kids…or just don’t like kids. There are a lot of reasons you may or may not want them present. Some questions to ask yourself:
-Will a lot of the guests we really want to attend, not attend if they can’t bring their children?
-Can we live with the possible distraction of having children present?
-Is there a place at the ceremony site for parents to take loud or unruly children/crying babies?
-Will there be so many children present that special measures should be taken (a special menu, etc) and can we afford the added expense?
-Will having children present add to or take away from the over all wedding day experience?
If you like the idea of having little ones there on your big day, here are some ideas for keeping them happy!
-Have a special table for them in the reception area. Cover the table with butcher paper and coloring utensils to keep them busy.
-Have a table of games and fun activities set up near the back of the reception area or in a different room for some kid-friendly fun while parents are havin’ a good time.
-Consider hiring a sitter (or more than one if you have a lot of tiny things running around) for the evening and have him or her (or them) do all the kid-watching. If your reception is in a hotel or another place with additional available rooms, consider renting a room just for kids.
-Have kid-friendly food. Chicken strips, little hamburgers, French fries, apple slices, Mac n’ Cheese. The list is quite long.
Overall, children can add a youthful, precious touch to your day, if you like having them around. If nothing else, they make for some super cute photo opportunities.

One of my favorite little crafty things? Mod Podge. That’s why I love these paper and Mod Podge wooden letters. And of course they can be used for something fabulous like cake toppers!

Here is a great post from Going Domestic: My Date With Decoupage (her picture is the one above).
With these little beauties and a touch of creativity, you could match your wedding style to the T. Fabulous! Check out My Date With Decoupage for great instructions!

It’s your wedding day - you should feel like you’re walking on air, right? Well this couple took that quite seriously…
My mum saw this on CNN this on Tuesday and let me know. On Monday we posted about getting married in space. What will those creative brides and grooms think of next?! Found this video on NECN.com.
